Project 52 : 2020
Week No. 18 : Flowers
'There are always flowers for those who want to see them'
Flowers bring life into any situation - whether you spot them in a beautiful garden or you buy a bunch to take home with you, they bring a delicate feeling of peace with them. Their sweet smell wafts through the air and brings life into the nostrils and the petals touched by multi-coloured magic create a beautiful ambience, that no other living thing can.
Week No. 19: Shadows
'Keep your face to the sunshine and the shadows will fall behind you' Walt Whitman
Without sunshine, there are no shadows. Even at this dark time, you can find your own sunshine to share with others. A small act of kindness, such as sending a positive message to a loved one, can bring light into someone else's life. And the more we share our sunshine, the more our shadows will fall behind us.
Week No. 20: Scattered
Bluebell woods are always a haven of beauty and serenity. Scattered seeds over time lead to a patchwork carpet of indigos and deep purples. The bells dance in the dappled light and make no noise, however they herald longer evenings and the beginning of sunny days to come.
Looking through my archive of photos I have taken over the years, I discovered I don't to take many pictures of things. However, I have been lucky enough to visit some beautiful places, full of history. I took this in Rome long before I owned a digital camera but now it just looks like I have added an elaborate filter! It reminded me how far I have come on my photography journey, capturing the world around me.
